Do you provide garden design services for domestic properties?

We do not perform an in-house landscape design service. However, we do maintain strong strategic partnerships with several leading garden designers and landscape architects, and we would be happy to refer you to them if you require a bespoke design service for your garden space / grounds.

When does the bare root planting season start and finish?

The bare root planting season normally commences around the end of November when deciduous trees and shrubs lose their leaves and are dormant – bare root trees and hedging can be lifted now. It usually ends at the end of March.

When is the best time to carry out grass seeding?

The best time to carry out grass seeding is during April to June, and September to October – weather conditions permitting.

How long does it take for wildflower seed to establish?

It takes at least 12 months to fully establish, and it should be cut down with the arisings collected once a year in September or October once seeds have set and dropped into the topsoil.

How often should I water my turf?

This depends on the time of year that the turf is laid and the weather conditions at that time. Generally, turf should not be allowed to dry out and should be kept watered until it has fully rooted. Please see our turf aftercare guide for more specific advice.
