Another first for Oak View Landscapes – A successful transition to updated ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001

Oak View Landscapes previously held certification under ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 and has been audited and registered annually by NQA since 2011.

During 2018 the Company successfully transited to the most updated standard for quality management ISO 9001:2015 and for environment management ISO 14001:2015 and in February 2019 NQA performed the mandatory recertification and transit audit for the new standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management ISO 45001:2018, enabling Oak View to achieve its aim of transiting to all three updated standards in 2019.

Managing Director, Paul Downer, commented “We are extremely pleased to have made the transition to these three updated ISO standards which will undoubtedly provide additional assurance to our customers that our overall focus is on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Our successful transition to the updated standards demonstrates our intention to always perform at the highest levels of efficiency and safety, in consultation with all our staff, to ensure we deliver the best customer service. I believe Oak View are one of the first landscape contracting companies to hold all three new standards and I am very proud of this achievement”.

Jakki Jenner, Operations Director, said “the path to certification requires considerable time and commitment. Oak View has undertaken an extensive review of all its procedures and has aligned them with the revised ISO requirements. The introduction of the Annex SL (a high level structure for ISO management systems) has enabled us to streamline our processes and manuals to one fully integrated management system. The revised requirements have focused our attention to risk based objectives for continuous improvement, effectiveness of change and a greater level of staff consultation, which also sits well with our Investors in People Silver accreditation preparing us for our plans to go for Gold”.
